Christine Fanchiang | Founder, The Space Research Company
Christine Fanchiang is the founder of The Space Research Company, an innovation hub for developing new technologies aimed at space colonization. The company was awarded with a NASA SBIR/STTR grant and participated in the NSF I-Corps customer discovery program. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. degree in aerospace engineering sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder and a B.S. in aeronautics and astronautics from MIT. During her time in graduate school, she participated in numerous NASA competitions for developing and prototyping bioregenerative life support systems, lunar base concept designs, and Mars fly-by missions. Additionally, as part of her research, she worked with the FAA Center of Excellence for Commercial Space Transportation in developing the foundation for future regulations for commercial human spaceflight activities. Prior to graduate school she worked at Northrop Grumman Space Technology as a systems engineer on a national weather satellite program.
