Timothy Hampton | Senior Associate, Booz Allen Hamilton

Tim Hampton, a Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, has more than 22 years of professional experience working DoD cybersecurity and risk analysis to include: Risk Management Framework, cyber threat analysis, cyber risk, and emerging technology strategic planning. He holds a B.A. in Management Information Systems and a Master’s in Cybersecurity as well as being a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

Prior to joining Booz Allen, Tim spent time serving in the United States Air Force, and working for other Defense Contractors. In those roles he worked across a wide variety of technologies and communities, specializing in communications and cyber support to the Intelligence community. In these roles he focused on enterprise engineering and integration efforts for technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange, and network communications.

In his time with Booz Allen, Tim has supported a wide variety of clients including the United States Air Force Academy, HQ Air Force Space Command, Air Logistics Command, NASA, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Air Force Public Key Infrastructure Program Management Office. He has supported implementation of the Risk Management Framework for the largest portfolio in the Air Force, including the Air Force Enterprise and Space Mission Systems, and led cyber deep dives to secure critical systems including the Global Positioning System.

He led efforts to partner with the Strategic Innovation Group to publish the first ever cyber playbook, and developed our approach to Cyber Hardening. He leads relationships with key local small businesses and partners with a national cyber training company to increase branding and access to cyber talent pipelines. Tim currently helps lead the firm’s Air Force cyber business in Colorado and Texas.

He is currently focused on expanding cyber security capabilities for Industrial Control and Operational Technology systems, and delivering cyber capabilities across NASA. Tim and his family live in Colorado Springs and enjoy outdoor activities to include spending time with his dogs, hiking, backpacking and volunteering in the local community as a fire fighter.
